Generous Living, Generous Giving
“For it is in giving that we receive.” ―St. Francis of Assisi
Bacolor, Pampanga -- Literally staying outdoors to keep a safe distance from the residents who are on "household lockdown," we met 4–16 year old’s who were abandoned, neglected, and surrendered at Children's Home of Eucharistic Love and Kindness in Xevera Village, Bacolor, Pampanga. The Franciscan Community of Sisters of Mary of the Eucharist has been striving to provide them a stable, loving, nurturing environment until they get safely and permanently into a new family and new life. Local superior Sr. Tina Montemayor, FCSME and the girls wouldn't stop thanking all the donors and volunteers for the gifts of Pampango Bibles, 8 sacks of rice, food packs, clothes and their much-needed school supplies. "We thank you for your generosity. Please know that we are going to remember you all when we pray the Franciscan Crown every day," Sr. Tina said. There will be many inconveniences, challenges, and frustrations in times like these but God grants us the spirit to see these as avenues of service to others. To all our donors and volunteers for this mission, biggest hugs and prayers! God is at work in each of us. Thank you so much and may God bless and reward you in abundance.
