Hitting Two Birds, with One Mission of Mercy

Tagaytay City, Cavite — Our first stop in the morning was TAHANANG VEDRUNA (Home for orphans and vulnerable children) in Sungay East, Tagaytay City. Due to strict enforcement of health and safety protocols, we were not able to interact with the children but nevertheless, we have delivered to them your gifts. Sr. Elma de Leon Nebreja, CCV and staff received provisions of rice, Nido FortiGrow, long bond papers, and toys.

At lunch o' clock, we went to KALINGAP HOME FOR THE ELDERLY in Barangay Maitim 2nd East, Tagaytay City. The lolas started praying the novena to Saint Rita of Cascia, who is called the Saint of the Impossible cases and insurmountable problems on May 13th. Their eyes twinkled when they saw their requested 4-feet statue of their patroness! To help meet the daily needs of the lolas, volunteers bought their homemade products of Atsara (Papaya relish), black and white pepper, potholders and doormats. Some others also bought flowers and plants from the Kalingap nurseries.
