Generous Living, Generous Giving
“For it is in giving that we receive.” ―St. Francis of Assisi
On this Twelfth Sunday of Ordinary Time, Kairos Momentum (jeffjacinto.com) as well as benefactors and volunteers, engaged with the children from the under poor neighborhood of Manresa in a gathering held at Our Lady of Fatima chapel located at the intersection of Mauban and Biak na Bato streets. The day began with a Holy Mass officiated by Fr. Jimmy Giron, OFM, which was attended by the children and their parents. Following the Mass, hot meals were served to everyone present. The volunteers led the children in praying the holy rosary and singing Marian anthems. Subsequently, the children participated in a small competition involving their favorite lato-lato toys, with cash prizes and gift packs awarded to the best players. The event concluded with the children expressing their gratitude for the blessings received. We extend our appreciation to all the benefactors and volunteers who contributed to this cause, as it is through the generosity of individuals like you that we are able to carry out our monthly missions. "May God generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others." (2 Corinthians 9:8) Due to my upcoming eye surgeries, specifically the removal of silicone oil in my left eye in July and a Vitrectomy on my right eye in August, we have decided to temporarily postpone our outreach activities for the months of July and August. Our next mission will resume on September 17, 2023. If it is in God's plan, we will have the opportunity to SEE each other again like before. Thank you and God is your reward.
