During lunchtime, Kairos Momentum (jeffjacinto.com) paid a visit to the Care for Paws Shelter and Sanctuary in Silang, Cavite, where 87 lively dogs reside. Our purpose was to provide them with essential supplies like rice and dog food. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the joyful chorus of 87 charming furry companions who enthusiastically accepted treats from us. Ate Rose and the shelter's staff prepared a delicious serving of Loming-Batangas for us, which we must admit was quite tasty. During our visit, we also shared stories about the rescue journeys of the shelter's dogs. They too, hope for the support of kind-hearted individuals to aid their mission of caring for stray and abandoned animals. I had the pleasure of reuniting with my favorite playmate at CPSS, Cookie the Poodle, who is a survivor of distemper.
To my fellow dog lovers, thank you for supporting this mission. Your generous gift insures that we are able to play our little part in feeding, rescuing, sheltering, and medically caring for the animals from the streets, the storms, and the spill. To Ate Rose and the staff of CPSS, we salute you. You are pawsome.

This morning, Kairos Momentum (jeffjacinto.com) paid a visit to the elderly residents at Kapatiran ng Poong San Jose Home for the Elderly in Imus City. We were warmly welcomed by Ate Lilian and the facility's Board of Directors, who provided us with insights into their activities and daily routines. The senior residents engage in physical exercises, watch movies, participate in communal prayers, join Bible sharing sessions, dine together, and more. They receive dedicated care from caregivers and social workers who tend to their every need. As a small gesture of support, we brought gifts such as rice, diapers, oatmeal, milk, food packs, and essential items to contribute to their noble cause. This visit marked the facility's reopening to visitors for the first time since the pandemic, and they are hopeful for more visits from sponsors and donors in the coming months.
None of our monthly missions would be possible without the support of generous donors and repeat volunteers. As Proverbs 19:17 says, "If you help the needy, you are lending to the Lord—and he will repay you." May God repay you with his choicest blessings! |
