“The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us.” — John 1:14 This Christmas, I was reminded again that if we look closely, we can see the face of Christ in the person right next to us—the vendor on the sidewalk, the rider resting under the heat, the mother counting coins, the child selling Sampaguita. Jesus, the Word made flesh, comes to us in the faces of those who struggle just to make it through each day. Through the goodness and generosity of our supporters and benefactors at www.jeffjacinto.com like yourself, we hoped to prepare 40 Christmas bags this year—an increase from last year’s 30. But by the miracle of miracles, God multiplied our efforts. We managed to prepare 50 Christmas bags, so more families can enjoy a meaningful and dignified Noche Buena this Christmas Eve. To everyone who helped in this small effort, may God always provide you with more than enough in 2026, so you can keep blessing others in need (2 Corinthians 9:8).
We chose to do this because we believe that God lovingly draws near to those who strive with all their strength. These men and women work in the streets every single day, doing their best to earn an honest living. When they received their Christmas bags, many thought we were playing a joke on them—but the gift was truly for them. Some spent a few minutes sharing their stories: what they do, how they survive, and how they continue to trust in God’s mercy. All 50 recipients—from Bacoor City, Las Piñas, Parañaque, and Manila—thanked Jesus for the unexpected blessing and promised to pray for the generous hearts, minds, and hands behind these gifts. This is Christmas: seeing Christ in others, serving Him with love, and letting the Word-made-flesh shine through our simple acts of kindness. May all the beautiful dreams you prayed for during Simbang Gabi come true, and may your family be blessed with miracle after miracle this 2026!
