I was truly blessed to spend the day with the amazing students and teachers at San Fernando Elementary School – Special Needs Education Division (SFES-SNED) in Pampanga. They now have over 400 students in the program, most of whom are on the autism spectrum. Interestingly, the number of children with autism has significantly increased after the pandemic.

Unlike most schools that have already opened this June, Jill’s academic year won’t be starting until July. They just wrapped up their school year last May 30, so she’s currently enjoying a well-deserved break. But today, she chose to spend part of her vacation in a meaningful way—visiting children who have already begun theirs.
It was a grace-filled day spent with the lolos and lolas of San Jose Balay Alima in Indang, Cavite. We came bearing simple gifts—sacks of rice, milk, and diapers—but left with hearts fuller than we could have imagined. The elderly welcomed us warmly and serenaded us with their timeless favorites, their voices carrying stories of years past.
Just before lunch on Easter Sunday, we had a chance to catch up with the kids of Parthenos in Quezon City. We reflected on how Jesus rising from the dead sets Him apart from all other religious founders—He’s alive, and because of that, we live in hope that we, too, will rise one day. The kids received packed meals and snacks, and the highlight? Their brand-new choir uniforms, which they'll wear proudly when singing at Mass! A big thank you to our generous sponsors for making this possible. We’ll share photos of them in their lovely new uniforms once everyone’s back from their vacation in the provinces. Thank you for your refreshing generosity—we remembered you as we prayed the Glorious Mysteries. Happy Easter!
On Easter Sunday, the mission community of the Missionaries of the Holy Face of Jesus (Mshikhe d-Parṣufa Qaddisha d-Ishoʿ) gratefully received a brass Tabernacle box, a generous gift from physician benefactors who made the donation in memory of Fr. Joseph Raymund Biliran—a dear friend in life, whose spiritual presence continues to inspire us now that he has returned to his eternal home.
Dearest Padresito, we humbly ask you to intercede for us from the balconies of heaven. To our esteemed physician donors, your Easter offering will bear fruit in deepening devotion to the Holy Eucharist, particularly among the children of the mission community in Naic, Cavite. With this gift, they are now able to visit the Lord Jesus daily in the Blessed Sacrament enthroned at the altar. "If you help the poor, you are lending to the Lord—and he will repay you (Proverbs 19:17)." The mission community offers its sincere love and prayers for your continued success and well-being. Wishing you a blessed and joyful Easter. At 29 years old, Teacher Regina has already dedicated nearly a decade to nurturing the minds of pre-schoolers. Now teaching in a public school, she manages a class of 40 to 50 pupils, many of whom rely heavily on visual aids to grasp daily lessons. On the morning of Holy Wednesday, we had the opportunity to meet Teacher Regina and hand over a set of essential teaching tools: a color printer and scanner, a laminating machine, reams of laminating film, and stacks of bond paper. These resources will allow her to produce engaging instructional materials and visual aids for School Year 2025–2026.
Her young students—future doctors, nurses, teachers, astronauts, firefighters, and priests—are only beginning their journey. But thanks to your generous support, the first notes of their dreams are already rising in a hopeful #Crescendo toward a brighter future. We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who made these much-needed supplies possible. May God bless you for the goodness that echoes in your hearts. Our visit to the sick, disabled, and special children at Home of Joy in Tayuman, Manila was a beautiful reminder of how God’s love shines through the kindness and generosity of people like you.
Thanks to your support, we were able to bring plenty of essential items—canned goods like sardines, corned beef, and tuna, as well as biscuits, rice, milk, Milo, and other groceries. This Lenten Food Drive wouldn’t have been possible without your generosity. "Your heavenly Father, who sees your good deed in secret, will reward you openly and abundantly." (Matthew 6:4) A heartfelt thank you to all our volunteers and sponsors! May this Lenten season inspire us to continue sharing and helping, bringing joy and hope to those in need. Wishing you all a blessed and meaningful Lent! It was a moderately chilly day in Silang when we visited the 82 dogs and around 30 cats at Care for Paws Shelter and Sanctuary. Luz, their dedicated coordinator, warmly welcomed us and shared exciting updates about the shelter’s ongoing programs for these lovable furballs. I was especially happy to see Cookie the poodle again—she bravely survived distemper and is now five years old, proudly serving as CPSS’s mascot!
A huge thank you to the Ramirez family for driving us to and from the facility, and to our generous sponsors who helped us put together much-needed dog and cat food provisions. Your kindness keeps these furry friends happy, nourished, and well cared for! If you’re celebrating a family milestone and want to spread some love or simply just gain ligtas points, consider paying these adorable creatures a visit. The shelter is currently in need of four orbit fans to keep the animals cool this summer, dextrose powder for hydration, and four spinning mops to keep their kennels clean. Every bit of support makes a world of difference! Let’s keep making tails wag and hearts full. "The godly care for their animals." - Proverbs 12:10 Blessed Berenice Duque founded the Little Sisters of the Annunciation, a community of religious women dedicated to caring for girls and women who have often been left to fend for themselves. Her ministry, which began in Colombia, has now expanded to 16 countries. In the Philippines, they can be found at Casa Pequeña de Nazaret in BF Resort, Las Piñas, on a street named after Miss Universe Margarita Moran, known for her beauty and intelligence.
We made a quick visit to bring food supplies and say hello. The girls were busy studying but immediately stood up to greet us and ask for a blessing as soon as we arrived. Their studious, polite, and cheerful demeanor is a testament to the amazing work the Sisters are doing in nurturing and caring for them. Interestingly, the girls are learning Spanish through their daily conversations with the Sisters. You can celebrate women’s empowerment by including them in your family milestones, like birthdays and anniversaries. It’s a meaningful way to support their mission while making your special moments even more memorable. “Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done.” Proverbs 19:17 On Friday the 13th, we spent a meaningful afternoon with the lolos and lolas at the House of Somang (Hope) in Levitown, Better Living, Parañaque City. Under the loving care of the Kkottongnae Sisters of Jesus, this visit brought joy and companionship to the elderly, breaking the monotony of their daily lives. These moments of connection help combat loneliness and brighten their spirits. The seniors were delighted to receive gifts of rice, adult diapers, biscuits, toiletries, and food packs. Sharing a meal, prayers, songs, and dances with them just days before Christmas made the day even more special.
There’s no greater joy than giving, and no better gift for the elderly than hope. To our energetic volunteers and selfless sponsors, your efforts have been a true blessing to the elderly. Thank you for your time and thoughtful contributions. May the Lord multiply your kindness and generosity a thousand-fold in 2025! Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas as we wrap up 2024 missions on a high note! |
