Generous Living, Generous Giving
“For it is in giving that we receive.” ―St. Francis of Assisi
Priests are human too! They grow old and get sick. Thankfully, the Archdiocese of Manila has committed to caring for our priests as they advance in age. We visited our lolo priests today at Cardinal Sin Welcome Home to interact with them and bring them provisions to meet their health and material needs. This is our little way of caring and giving back to them for their faithful service through the years. Thank you to all who joined hearts and hands together to prepare the gifts for our lolo fathers. God is your reward! Jaime Cardinal Sin, intercede for us!

Tagaytay City -- We cannot describe the gratitude that we feel for the support that you have provided to our mission yesterday to 23 orphaned children at Mo Teresa Spinelli's Treasures in Tagaytay City. We stepped out in faith and asked for help. Then we saw God move powerfully through your in kind and cash donations. These are challenging times for us all but still you have the heart to give. God bless you. Blessed be God for the goodness of your hearts! On June 18, 2022, Kairos Momentum (www.jeffjacinto.com) hosted a visitation to the elderly impaired by sickness or old age at TAHANANG MAPAGPALA in Bulihan, Malolos City, Bulacan. Fr Lloyd Elauria, OFM celebrated the Holy Mass for the staff, Sisters of the Divine Shepherd, and friends of the elderly (Holy Trinity Fellowship and OLGMS alumni Orly Qujano and Jorge Diomampo). Afterwards, Fr Lloyd anointed the lolas with oil to bring them spiritual and even physical strength. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors whose deeds are known only to God. Accept our heartfelt thanks for donating Rice provision, Adult Diaper, Toiletries, and Medicines. May God reward you with His graces and bless you and all who those you hold dear immeasurably more than we might ask or think. I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another. This is how all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another" (John 13: 34-35). These words from the Gospel for the Fifth Sunday of Easter synthesize the whole meaning of the Paschal Mystery: Jesus died for us because of his unconditional love for all of us, and we are called to live this new life of unconditional love. Anyone who wants to live true Christianity is called to live selflessly. Once again, the elderly and staff at Kalingap Casa de Sueños in Tagaytay are pleased to be recipients of care packages. We couldn’t achieve so much without you, our wonderful supporters selflessly share your blessings. Knowing that we are still in a time of pandemic, your contribution is extra special to us. May the good Lord reward you richly for the goodness of your hearts! Spent most of the morning with the boys at Ang Bahay Parola Grace Home for Boys, a care facility for 20 deserted and abused 6-15 years old in Molino 2, Bacoor City. Vulnerable children often do not celebrate birthdays. Most of them never had a birthday party or eaten a slice of birthday cake. Sometimes, celebrating our birthdays at an orphanage, makes the orphans feel more like orphans. So my millennial rockstar partners thought of having a shared birthday celebration where everyone would feel they matter and it made it a wonderful day for everyone! We truly appreciate the hearts of our sponsors and volunteers for the Bibles, "birthday" meals, rice provisions, food packs, grocery items and cleaning supplies. The mission we do wouldn't be possible without your incredible support and prayers. "May God generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others." 2 Corinthians 9:8 Tagaytay City, Cavite -- Members of the senior population experience more loneliness than other age groups, due to weakened health or a decline in physical mobility. Time spent with seniors in enjoyable conversation is significantly valued, enhancing the seniors’ sense of emotional well-being. Lent is a season of grace. During Lent we follow Jesus’ example of service. Take the time to deepen your faith and serve others in this season of Lent by engaging in fun and positive conversations with the elderly. Thanks to all our sponsors and volunteers. We received a total of ₱15,250 cash donations and pledges that we used to purchase rice provision (5 sacks of 25 kg), assorted canned goods, coffee, adult milk, biscuits, food packs, and toiletries amounting to ₱12,000. The remaining amount was spent for food and transporting the goods to the care facility. We also received heartwarming in kind donation of rice (7 sacks of 25 kg), wheel chair, commode, diapers, clothes, and food packs. It is such a joy to see you pouring your hearts out through your selfless contribution. Your kindness will always be remembered. May God reward you with His choicest blessings!
Today, we delivered your gifts to 18 vulnerable and orphan girls and 4 staff at Pequeña Casa de Nazaret, Las Piñas City under the care of the Liitle Sisters of the Annunciation. To break the ice, the children sang "You Are Mine" and played a fun name game where they mention their names and act out a motion or their favorite mannerism. Isaiah 43:1-5 tells us that God loves each one of us. He formed and made us with divine precision and care. He assures us, “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by name. You are mine.”
We thank you dear donors and volunteers for your support and for your desire to help us succeed in our monthly missions at Kairos Momentum. In the very presence of Jesus, God demonstrates that He is love—and love gives. May God bless you always for having hands and hearts that give.

Being extra careful not to come near to the orphaned and vulnerable children for their health and safety, we paid them a quick visit to drop off essential goods and food provision. These needs are still there inspite of the pandemic. Heartfelt thanks to everybody who put their hand and hearts together for the children at Mo. Spinelli's Treasures in Tagaytay. It was a special day only made possible with your help. Thank you once again for helping us increase the work we can do in our community. God is your reward!
Isolation is a big issue for the elderly, more so at Christmas. Not everyone has family or friends to spend Christmas with and for many December 25th is just another day. For them, it’s not an exciting time of watching grandchildren open presents under the tree or sharing a meal with loved ones. Nor is it a day to pull a cracker or to give someone they love a Christmas present. Due to Covid-19, their interactions with each other have been restricted, their time with staff has been limited and the volunteers have not been allowed in for most of the last almost two years. During holiday and festive times, loneliness can be amplified by the lack of having anyone to spend time with.
We visited Bahay Pag-Ibig Home For The Elderly in Holy Angel Village, Telabastagan, San Fernando, Pampanga on December 11, 2021 to brighten the holiday season for 14 lolos and 33 lolas. We brought them supplies of food and rice provision, milk, groceries, diapers, toiletries, slippers and clothes. The objective is to let them know they’re not forgotten during what can be a depressing time of year. Due to strict enforcement of health and safety protocols, we were not able to interact with the lolos and lolas but nevertheless, we have delivered to them your gifts. We received a warm welcome by Fr. Ricarthy Dungo Macalino who celebrated the Holy Eucharist for us. We're all blessed to have been part of this mission of bringing joy to others. Thanks to all our generous sponsors who made it possible for us to reach out to the senior residents of Bahay Pag-Ibig. Your work for God does not go unnoticed. God is your exceedingly great reward. Wishing y'all a Merry Christmas. It is estimated in the 2020 UNICEF report there are about 210 million orphans worldwide. In the Philippines alone, there are approximately 1.8 million of them. Nearly one-third of these children who start primary school do not complete fifth-grade. To make matters worse, COVID-19 pandemic has forced many school students around the world to embrace remote learning. But not all have computers at home. Remote learning makes the situation especially hard for orphans and vulnerable children at Little Angels Home who are at the critical point of student to computer ratio of 1 is to 8. The computer room gifted to the children on December 4, 2021 by Datamatics CMS PH was equipped with 20 computers in like-new condition, new electrical installations and lighting were set up and a new air conditioning unit was installed. This computer room will give orphans and vulnerable children urgent resources to attend online classes like other children hence cutting on the number of children who can not access online classes due to lack of computers. For their part, employees contributed generously by making financial pledges to buy much needed staples like food packs, fresh fruits, milk diapers, toiletries and other grocery items. The kids enjoyed a day of laughter, food, games and gifts. I'm so glad to be part of an organization that takes caring and giving back as core mission. Special thanks to ate Edna and Ram for helping us in more ways than one. The provision you sent helped us carry out this mission of mercy for the children. May you be blessed abundantly more than you deserve! We wish all of you a very Happy Christmas and a smooth start to 2022! |
