Generous Living, Generous Giving
“For it is in giving that we receive.” ―St. Francis of Assisi
You might be familiar with Joan Osborne's song "What if God was one of us," released in 1995. During Christmas, we celebrate the unique moment when God truly became one of us by being born in human form—the Word made flesh. This happened because God desired to live among us, as one of us. Currently, Jesus is present among us, often concealed in strangers, the poor, and the needy. Wouldn't we want to rush to help Him as quickly as possible?
In its final mission for 2023, Kairos Momentum (jeffjacinto.com) distributed bags filled with groceries and Tagalog Bibles to Jesuses-in-disguise across Quezon City, Bacoor, Dasmariñas, Las Piñas, and Parañaque on December 16, 2023. Initially perceived as an ambitious project, with the support of generous sponsors and enthusiastic volunteers like you, not only did we surpass the target for bags and Bibles distribution, but we also had sufficient resources to transport and deliver the gifts. "Your Heavenly Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you openly and abundantly" (Matthew 6:4). Thank you for assisting us in expressing love for Jesus hidden in the housekeeping personnel, security guard, driver, street sweeper, parking attendant, garbage collector, pedicab driver, sidewalk vendor, street children, and the homeless through this small yet impactful effort. Merry Christmas and a grace-filled 2024!
